How to Prevent Micro-implant Fracture and Removal Techniques
Using micro-implants changed the paradigm-shifting in orthodontic treatment. So, we can treat so many difficult malocclusions even without patient compliance as well as surgical intervention. However, there are some clinical complications after using micro-implant. One of them is a possibility of fracture during installation. In this presentation, I would like to exchange my knowledge and experience how to prevent micro-implant fracture and how to cope with the fracture.

"Emerging Therapies with Potential Risk for Medication - Related to Jaw Osteonecrosis"

Despite numerous investigations , the pathophysiology of medication - related osteonecrosis of the jaw ( MRONJ ) remains elusive . These lesions were first reported in 2003 and were associated with the use of bisphosphonates . However , more drugs exhibiting osteonecrotic effects have emerged and included anti - resorptives , anti angiogenics and some immune - modulators . Recently , Tocilizumab , a monoclonal antibody therapy , has gained attention for its experimental use in COVID - 19 treatment . As more patients receive these drugs , clinicians should be wary of their potential risk for MRONJ development and employ necessary preventive measures . This lecture provides a quick review of the emerging medications recently reported to be associated with MRONJ development.

The lecture will give an overview on the role of Povidone - iodine in dental practice . There will be a discussion on general disinfection principles and the role of PVP - I in infectious diseases & outbreaks . The lecture will show the relevant researches & guidelines and share its clinical application . This will also share some measures that could help prevent the spread of the infection Highlighting the potential role of PVP - 1 as an adjuvant to PPEs in reducing the risk of COVID - 19 transmission in healthcare practices , especially in dental practice .
DR . VESNA - LEA FERRER DIAGNOSIS AND MANAGEMENT OF ERUPTION ANOMALIES
Eruption anomalies which include ectopic eruptioin canine impaction and tooth ankylosis . affect up to 4.3 % of the population . These anomalies maybe intercepted at the transitional dentition to prevent undesirable consequences such as root resorption and bone loss . The overall objective of this presentation is to discuss the diagnosis and management of eruption anomalies using case examples and evidence based on current literature .
