HOW DIGITALIZATION AND THE USE OF INVISALIGN CAN TRANSFORM YOUR ORTHODONTIC PRACTICE

DR. PENNAPA SRIVICHARNKUL

The COVID 19 pandemic has definitely had a huge impact in dentistry and one thing that helped in being able to manage and adapt during those times was digitalization and digital integration in dentistry. We had to look for ways to be able to continue with the care of our patients given the restrictions we had and as we prepare to exit the pandemic, it is important for us to evaluate and apply what we have learned in order to be better prepared.
As dentists, we continue to strive to look for treatment options which are most beneficial to our patients and one of those options is the use of clear aligners. In this session, you will learn the range of cases, from simple to complex, that can be treated with Invisalign clear aligners as well as the factors behind why it provides a predictable treatment plan and is indeed an alternative to wires and brackets and in some cases, may even be a better option. You will also be able to see the benefits of having a digital end to end workflow with the use of the digital tools available in the Invisalign system which helps in practice efficiency and better patient experience.

"State-of-the-art of autogenous bone augmentation"

Dr. Frank Zastrow
(VIRTUAL)
Abstract: In many cases bone augmentation is needed before implants can be placed. Additionally, the soft tissue management can be decisive factor for the implant success. In all cases, the "Goldstandard" of using autologous bone is in competition with the use of Bone Graft substitutes.
These lectures give insights in the Concept of Biological Bone Augmentation with pure autogenous bone and the Split bone technique by Prof. Khoury. Finally vertical augmentation is still the most challenging topic in the implantologic field and the perfect symbiosis of hard- and soft tissue management needs here to be emphasized. Only when all these parameters come together, reliable results and good long term results of the implantologic work can be achieved for the patient.
