The Academy of Dentistry International (ADI) Republic of the Philippines Section invites you to attend a Special lecture by MARIE VALENTINE LIM, DMD, MSD entitled: “The Components of Comprehensive Treatment Planning: Esthetics, Biology, Structure and Function" at the V. Luna AFP Medical Center Dental Service Training School Col. Olympia Bldg. AFP Medical Center V. Luna Road, Quezon City on November 16, 2009 from 12:30 – 4:00 pm.
SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Marie Valentine Lim is a prosthodontist in private practice devoted to restorative, cosmetic and implant rehabilitation in New Jersey. She received her DMD degree from the Univ. of Pennsylvania (Penn) and completed a rigorous graduate program in Prosthodontics at the Univ. of Washington. While continuing to treat patients in the clinic since 1993, she received faculty appointments at Penn and the Nova Southeastern University, teaching and mentoring pre-doctoral and post graduate level students on their way to becoming future dentists and specialists. She has served both as reviewer and published author in peer-reviewed journals, and conducted numerous lectures and seminars for practicing dentists and students in the US and abroad.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
To present treatment planning considerations for the restorative patient and to develop guidelines to enhance clinical predictability.
SYNOPSIS:
Restorative challenges can be controlled and be made to be more predictable by planning the treatment out according to what the patient presents with. Identifying esthetic, biologic, structural or functional problems will influence the type of restoration you choose to provide for your patient. Diagnosing the problem is the key to a successful outcome.
